Nicks site says Ping 57 ms Download 6.38 Mbps Upload 0.77 Mbps
Not good in Kiwi Land
Even Lo's speed would be faster

Nope, AT&T DSL. We do have 5 computers and an X-BOX 360 hooked up to a system that is only supposed to carry 4 computers.

What speed are you paying for ?
run speed test and post it's results .

Call and ask them what is the download , and upload speed you are paying for .
That's awful slow for DSL .
Don't care if you have a 100 boxes hooked up .
Bandwidth is Bandwidth .

Our modem is very old and the DSL lines here are not fiberoptic. That doesn't help.

If you're at turtle speed, what does that make me? A slug? We've got fiber optics within two miles of our house, then it's just phone line to the house.

AT&T says it's not profitable to run fiberoptic here. But the local cable company is in the process of running it and will offer internet in a few months. I may have to check them out. The only other internet available here is a local company. A friend had them and kept track, she lost her connection 36 times in a 2 hour stretch one evening.
