My Dad taught me that flooring the gas pedal and smoking the tires was good for the engine every now and then to "blow the carbon out" I was about 8 years old at the time. I learned using a drill, saws, automotive stuff from tuneups to adjusting the valves and doing the brakes. Dad died at age 49. He formed the path I followed. I can't imagine never having learned the stuff he taught me. ...heck, I might have ended up with interests in opera or ballet.

My stepson made from scratch a pistachio flavored cheesecake for me today, covered in chocolate. It was fantastic.
