    I hate stairs, do you?

Patterning a few steps at a time was actually on my mind. Not having done anything like this, I don't think I'd want to do more than 3 per set, but the last run would be 4. Oooh, a pie shaped gizmo for the stretcher 👍 My brain hadn't moved that far forward. Before I cut the excess off of a...

Hair dryer absolutely a friend, especially on wide steps so you can get side stretch. I've done that a lot.

    I hate stairs, do you?

The shop I worked out of always sold 500 oz carpet..... that's why I never liked them. Double strip, then heat each step one at a time with a hair dryer so they could be stretched and tucked. Nope, I just never liked em.

So, fit each of the approximately 18 stairs, then send them out for binding, and then go back and install them? 😱 Do you cut each step an inch or two, too long to account for pad and do the final trim as you go?

    Discussing politics and religion

Do like I do. I turn Viva down to 75% speed. 😁 Seriously. He talks faster than I comprehend. 😉 He was talking about the obvious double standard that is held against Trump, never against Democrats. When politicians DAs run for office and their main platform is putting Trump in jail....... ...that...

I'm not sure what we'd to without you here, Mr Smarty Pants..... 😁 You're explanations are so thorough and as technical as they are, still understandable. 👍👍👍

    I hate stairs, do you?

I'm all my years, I've never done a set of curved stairs in a runner fashion. I'm measuring a job 60 miles from town tomorrow in a "lake home" It's the upstairs bedrooms, a "sitting area" at the top of the stairway and these stairs. I recall doing a couple of wall to wall curved steps in the...

    Peel and stick tiles

Yeah, it's an insurance job and I think the homeowners are removing them to save a buck. They removed some Wilsonart ad this was in the kitchen, laundry and dining room. Most are adhered, but as expected, they get cupped on the edges. If they aren't cupped, a skim of floor patch will do it...

    Peel and stick tiles

Were those all just vinyl? I never recalled anyone mentioning peel and stick and asbestos in the same sentence. Some are going to need removal in a water damaged kitchen and laundry. They were installed directly over some 1978ish sheet vinyl, so I'd say the tiles are late 80's.
