Thanks for your help Ernesto. I've seen those saws in lowes before, didn't know if they would b much count. I don't do much engineered flooring here in ky. But have about 5k ft to lay over the next 2 months.

That thing is a tinker toy. I have the real one. Its from bullet tools. I bought it five years ago for about six hundred bucks and an extra blade for $75 and haven't taken the blade out of the package yet. I don't understand how there are guys who install laminate or eng floors who don't have one. Mine is supposed to cut 3/4" oak but I always feel like im about to break the damn thing whenever I try. They cut install time in half but make sure you get the "magnum" shear. That's the one that works best.

The reason I don't have one is ;
A) The price for a paper cutter on steroids is way to high and,
B) I had a chopper like thing for laminate floors and didn't enjoy standing up to cut everytime and it eventually fatigues the wrist.

Maybe I'm just old but I'd rather just spin around at the cut end of the room, make a cut and be done with it in mere seconds. The skil also allows you to make rip cuts and has angle stops.

I keep mine close, no dust, no need to stand up each time. I think it's time to join the gym brother.

Might be, sometime we'll have to arm wrestle and see. Better get ready.:D After hundreds of cuts in a day I'd still rather have a saw do it for me.

I have the next size up of the Robert's. works great and I agree with Ken saves time and you do not have to stand up. Handle moves out for thicker products. I have used Bullet's on any certifications and Roberts bigger one I have works just as good.
Stephen, come to surfaces and we will test our arms.

Thanks, still rather use a saws energy to cut than mine.

I have the roberts one. Works awesome on laminate. I wouldn't use it on engineered though. Doesn't have enough strength.

Ernesto not strong like bull? Lol! I have the thirteen inch and I'll be buying the smaller nine inch. Most laminate I install is no wider than a three strip anyway.

We should race. Id put a thousand down that I finish first in a plain ten by ten room, no prep. It didn't take me 37 years to find my easy button, lmao!

So, I bought the bullet 1. Not the top of the line one. Paid $235 with shipping. Couldn't b happier. It's the 13" 1. Cuts this engineered flooring like butter. Way easier & faster than any saw. Plus no splinters like a saw does. That's 1 thing I always hated about engineered floors, the way they splinter up when u cut them. This deal does a nice clean cut every time so far. These folks can hook u up.
