Daris , I assume this is the Toshiba..
1st thing you can try is turn the laptop upside down , and blow any lint or crap out of the keyboard with a air can.
Next , Remove the battery - hold the start key down for 60 seconds .. replace the battery and reboot ..
This will remove the static electricity from the Internal Cache .. This is a common problem with Toshiba..
You can open it and check the ribbon going to the motherboard is not folded .. If so straitened it out..
Other then that you might just need a new keyboard ..
