Bought a new Alcatel phone. Tried to download pictures to my computer, says phone "denied access" Tried 3 different computers one W7, one W8.1, one W10. Same thing. Tried another phone, downloaded pictures on all three. . Contacted Alcatel, they say "not their problem contact Total Wireless. Contacted Total Wireless, they say not their problem, contact Alcatel. I figure it has to be a "permission" problem. Even the manual says nothing about downloading pictures. Have you ever seen a phone that could not download to a computer? And I am using the USB cable that came with the phone. It is model # TCL A508DL, if anyone has any ide

I have the cable that came with phone, that is what I used.
My phone came with a cable with a USB and also an adapter to put on the USB end that has a c port same as my old phone. My old phone and my new phones have the same style cable end. I think it's called a C.
Instructions with my camera were pretty crappy. But I found to transfer data you take that cord and plug one end into one phone and the other end into the other phone.
( I had already transferred my SIM card from my old phone to my new phone.)
Once I turned the phones on with the cables connected, I could access files on the other phone.

They transferred all that stuff at the store, Every phone I have had and my wife's phone, you just run the cable to the computer and it gives the option to import pictures. This one does too, but it denies access to the computer.

I'm thinking of trying to forget the computer and transfer data from phone to phone. Or at least connect the two and see what happens.....
