Is that like a two gallon gallon, or just a regular US gallon?
That's nuts. That means you're paying more for taxes than your gas.
I have a crazy feeling to save the Earth our government's going to do the same thing. All it does is hurt the little guy.

There ain’t a damn thing the government or any human can do to reverse the rapid changes we’ve brought about in the climate. In fact you could wipe humans off the face of the earth and the damage we’ve done will still take millions of years for the earth to balance itself out. Life won’t stop on earth, it just changes to adjust with the current conditions. Survival of the fittest isn’t about being the strongest, fastest or whatever, it’s about being the most adaptable to change.

Yea the earth has been hotter and the earth has been colder but that’s because of the changes in the earths orbit around the sun and tilt on its axis that vary over hundreds of thousands to millions of years. The North Star wasn’t always our point of orientation in the sky and given enough time it won’t be again. That’s why ice ages come and go over those long periods of time, the earths orbit changes over those same periods of time. We’re all doomed so you might as well do the earth a favor and kill yourself.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled exploitation of the earths resources.

I just spit Diet Pepsi all over my arm. 😜 Greatest thing I've heard in days!!! Thanks @highup! You made my day and I really needed that! Had a really bad few days and that helped a ton.

Come on down to Scottsdale for a few days. We can watch the rich old ladies while we drink our coffee at AJ’s fine foods. I think I can handle being retired if this is what it looks like.

I would love to but unfortunately I'd probably burst into flame from the heat if you're talking Scottsdale, AZ. I tolerate heat like a fat baby in a Baptist church - I sweat until I pass out crying. I've had 3 heat strokes and I fry like bacon in the sun due to a couple of my prescriptions.

I had my Microsoft account hacked last week. With me being an Admin for our company, I spent the last 5 days locking the bad guys out and making sure they didn't get back in. Probably spent 20-30 hours over the weekend checking in every hour or two to see what attempts were being made for them to try and get back in and so far, I've kept them out. My stress level has been pretty high though. I think I need one of those medicinal "herbal" prescriptions after the last 5 days. Or I could just move to NZ like we all talked about and become @Jon 's helper. I can't get on my knees anymore (replacement) but I could probably use a stand up trowel. I'd have to get a real long handle or a real long welding tip and I could probably help him flash cove some of those crazy showers he does from time to time.

I did the dumbest damn thing too. I got fooled by a phishing scam. I can usually spot those a mile away and this one was pretty damn good. They mimicked both Adobe Creative Cloud file storage and Microsoft's credentials entry login absolutely perfectly. The links and everything as well as the email headers looked correct. Email came from a long time customer and looked perfectly like something he would send me. I didn't even realize they had got me until 3 days later when they started logging into my account and forwarding emails from my address.

At any rate, it wasn't a fun weekend and to make it worse my wife's birthday was Sunday (July 4th) and my mom's was Monday. Couldn't really enjoy spending time with them due to the computer situation my mind was elsewhere so it just was a bad few days all the way around. Was so stressed out it started effecting me physically and I ended up stuck in a chair yesterday on a heating pad because I was so tense I threw my back out.

Been continuing to monitor and check things every few hours and so far so good. Just a bit like getting robbed of your wallet though. They probably just want the quick easy cash but they got your card and your ID and who knows if they will try and do something with it. Just a very uneasy feeling like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Those people should get life in prison and no computer access.

With the ease of obtaining a VPN it's virtually impossible to even know where they are unless you have some NSA/CIA type decryption software. I had attempts from California, Kentucky, Texas, Florida, Sweden, Germany, Thailand, China, Russia, Vietnam, India, UAE, Philippines, Brazil, etc. Most likely it's a government sponsored group in a protected country like Russia, China, North Korea, or Iran so it wouldn't matter anyway as there's no extradition from any of those countries. I put them in a similar class to vandals, pickpockets, and conmen.

It'll be interesting to see how things change or if they change here when all of these Chinese bitCoin mining operations move over here to escape the Chinese crackdown on crypto mining. Some of the pictures I've seen are almost staggering with the amount of equipment in just one of these facilities.

But, boy if I did get my hands on one, the first thing I'd do is call @Mark Brown and have him come down with his gas mask. That would scare the poop out of anyone.

I was thinking of @MikeAntonetti yesterday when I walked up to the store and it was 109 out. I didn’t sweat though because it’s a ‘dry’ heat here. Yeah, whatever. 109 is 109. In the mornings is when it’s perfect out. The rich old ladies are walking their little kick me dogs. Pretty sure their makeup won’t survive the afternoon heat. We can take a drive into downtown Phoenix to watch the crazy homeless people. That’s always good fun. Later in the day it gets a little ridiculous. I think my van was cussin me out yesterday. On the plus side when you empty everything out of the van, it’s like running after taking off roller skates. It’s a whole new van with some pep in its step.

I been dodging rain yesterday and today trying to work and weave around the silly tropical storm.

it’s been raining here regularly for @ 3 weeks, inches sometimes per day.

115 would be interesting in dry climates, I suppose going through a dessert you don’t realize water is extracted from your insides, here in Florida it sits on top of you.

Fuel? Use to I would check each side of street for cheapest, Shell was higher, now I got the shell credit card it’s .10c off per gallon, grocery shopping adds more, some monthly specials is 5 or 10 cent next fillup. With my diesel 12.5mpg is ok for me, I don’t like traveling regularly,

Mark, what’s the conversion rate dollar? Can./US

Chris your summation of Earth, probably correct, I keep wondering how there’s even shrimp at the grocery store,

We have a rewards card at our grocery store/pharmacy. 1 cent off for each $10. With the meds, we have had $1 off at times. Almost always $.50-$.60 . Plus the card gives us discounts off some groceries.

115 is hot. Even if you’re not sweating, dehydration is a real possibility. I chug Gatorade zero’s. Be careful, they’re sugar free. You’ll shit yourself. Even though I’m not working I still try to maintain my routine. Watching lizards and cactuses instead of my rooster and dogs.

Found this if you can make sense of it? But where I live we pay an extra NZ$0.15 cents a litre to sort out our roads
Our NZ$1 equals US$ 0.70 cents

For comparison, the average price of gasoline in the world for this period is 2.19 New Zealand Dollar.

Wow Chuck I really believe you saying that you've been stressed out
....Iean, if my comment gave you that good of a giggle I'm glad you don't have guns in the house. 😱
For the last week I've been stressing out over the problems with my S10 pickup and waiting for a part to arrive so I can finish putting it back together. That might arrive tomorrow or Friday.
Reading how your week went, I'm going to give you the win on this one.
It doesn't take much to get me stressed out. I can't imagine what you were going through but I'm glad you got it under wraps. That's just scary as hell.
....let me add that you handle heat as well as I do. The highest we've been all week is 74 or 76, which is 4° to 5° higher than normal. Lows hover in the mid 50s which is probably pretty close to normal.
Inland, there's been quite a heatwave in the state over the past 2 weeks and I think they've counted it over 100 people that have died from heat related issues. Makes me so happy that I live on the coast.

Sounds like your streets are paved in gold and have no potholes.

I hope things are going well for you and your family... As well as can be had.
I have a very short memory and it took me a second when you said lizards and cactus. I'd be thinking you should be saying moss and frogs. 😁

As well as can be isn’t so bad right now. The ol man will be released from the hospital in a couple days. He’s had the jab so the Rona didn’t really hammer him too bad even though he’s 81. That’s good news. My brother hasn’t taken the jab and he’s pretty bad off but things are looking promising considering how bad he is. He doesn’t have any health problems that also exacerbate the Rona, like diabetes or heart disease or… so he has been transferred to another hospital and will be undergoing ecmo treatment which is supposed to be better than a ventilator. He still has a long road ahead of him but that’s about a good a news as one can hear given his situation. Luckily he has insurance so he won’t be broke when it’s all said n done. I’ve seen enough data to convince me so I’ll find a Walgreens and get the jab myself. Then I’ll resume rich old lady watching. Might even snag me one. I can fix things you know😁

A cactus with boobs lit up at night. Must be a sign from god.
