That's the exact same way I always do those. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Wow, all those cuts can you imagine one or two miss cuts into an adjoining row? This requires the right carpet also. That's impressive, I'm really thinking outside the box. I would never in a million years guess how that's done. Thanx for showing that.

Not all carpets can be real cut that easily by feel. That said, depending on the pattern, it wouldn't take a lot of carpet to do that a couple of times if you made a mistake. I'd love to know what he charges to do one of those steps. I'm betting 1/3 to 1/4 of what I would charge.
......I'd still rather he does it. 😁
Heck, I was about to call Daris, and ask some questions about a straight run of 15 stairs with a cut pile carpet. 😁

That style is big over there… I hope it never shows up here. It seems like their product has more quality to it over there. We’re latex action back mania here.
Man, I wish I had that kind of time, and patience with that time. I’m always trying to fight off being rushed. Not enough carpet installers anymore.
I can’t believe I just said that.

Installers are scarce here. I have been retired for several years and still get calls. Wish I could still do it.

Installers being scarce can be a big plus for you. 😉
...the ball is in your court.

That’s AMAZING work Mate ! .......Not sure I would attempt it. Back in the day when we did lots of 27” Wilton runners, I had my brother hand sew miters on the curved pie staircase, to get the curve, Wish we had a photo to share. Lots of crazy staircases around Philly. Pa......By the sound of his blade cutting the carpet, I think it was a tufted action back and that was/ is a great idea to make the curve perfect. Off the top of my head, I would figure 2.50 hours per curved step ( min. 200.00 )
