The only HfH ReStore near my area shut down. :-(
Got woken up from Mom spazzing out because she couldn't follow the simple instructions of using the TV remote to click Input and then selecting HDMI 3. She paged me and was screaming at me about it. I repeated the instructions. She kept screaming and wouldn't listen. I went in and turned the laptop on and asked for the remote. She refused at first and then I finally got her to hand it to me and I got her computer to transmit to the TV. I may have kicked a few things on my way out of the room bc I was crabby at being woken up by someone screaming at me over nothing. I'm trying to get back to sleep.

Edit: I went to check out the HfH Restore in Lake Charles (about 2 hours away) but it shut down too. Shows it as "permanently closed". :-(

Hard to believe something like a habitat restore would shut down, unless they have competition through retail stores that do similar things. I'd probably go crazy if ours shut down, because I don't do garage sales hardly ever. It's only a block out of my way as I drive into town so I hardly have to make an effort to swing by. With garage sales you have to look everything over and with a habitat store you already know 99% of the stuff is there and you'll instantly recognize something new so it just takes a few minutes to make a walk through.

Took the old man to See’s Candies. I can’t help it but it didn’t take long to find a beer tile.

Highup, the Restores never advertised and most people didn't know they existed. I didn't find out about them until shortly before they closed. A lot of businesses shut down in my area though.

I found a Conair vibrating heating pad that I have on my back. Comes with velcro straps so you can secure it to yourself if you want. Or maybe to a chair. I just have it resting behind me buzzing away on my lumbar area. I've been moving it to target different areas of my back. Scared my cat with it bc he was sitting on it earlier and I turned it on and he didn't know what was happening.

I'm currently trying to get the red stain out of my sheet vinyl. Have some baking soda on it under a paper towel soaked in vinegar. Bathroom smells like pickles. I'm leaving it overnight. If it bleaches it or does anything bad to it its ok bc I'll cover it back up with a bath mat. but even bleached would be better than the red that really stands out.

I haven't been to See's candies in years. I love their dark chocolate truffles.

I always misheard the Secret Agent Man song as "Secret Asian Man". Those look like 1950s diner tiles in the See's Candies place. I attempted to remove the red stain from my sheet vinyl. No joy yet. I can't remember if the thing that stained it was wood or plastic but I remember the handle was red and it sat on it for a long time and when I went to move it, the color was stuck on the floor. I'll have to take a picture of it. Seems like it really soaked in. I'm trying to figure what would be safe to soak on it to try to remove it. Vinegar and baking soda no luck. Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda no luck. I'm about out of hydrogen peroxide though.

The clowns from CyberpowerPC finally sent me the RMA # and address to send Mom's laptop for warranty (screen went dead). I had to ask for it FIVE times and the guy kept not answering and telling me to just send it in. I had to explain to him that I needed an RMA so they knew why I was sending it in and that it needed to be fixed. Their customer service is clown shoes. They sent me a survey asking about my CS experience and I'm not answering it until we get the laptop back. The insurance alone is going to cost over $20. Not sure what shipping will be. They really should cover the shipping given it's a warranty thing and it was a defective product that failed within a year, but this company doesn't have their crap together. They used to be good but they have really gone downhill. We threw out the larger outer box the laptop came in but we still have the small one that identifies what it is along with the foam inserts that hold it steady. I'm going to add some bubble wrap and some extra protection. I'll have the RMA # on the box and on the computer's lid. I'm thinking of using a toilet tank box to put it in. That way it still says "fragile" on it. I wonder if I need to put a note that has a lithium battery inside...

I haven't flown since Sept 9, 2001 so I haven't had any issues with the airport lines. My sister flies more often though. She just went to Disneyworld and came back with Covid.

Don’t think I’ll ever do Disney again. No 6 flags or any other amusement park either, Dollywood not included. Dollywood is different cus I believe even Dolly would smack a crying child in need. Or not, but I like to think she would. We may never know unless she runs for president. That’s when peoples real dirty laundry comes out. Prolly come to find out Dolly’s been grabbin em by the junk just like Trump does. You would still vote for her, you know you would, baby shaker, junk grabber and all that. All the rest of them amusement parks though, nope.

My uncle was in the Navy and father was in the Army so I heard both of them use it. I need to call my uncle. He's just getting over Covid, but I went and pulled my damn back while bending to put bubble wrap in a box while packing Mom's laptop to send back. Not even sure how. I wasn't bending that far.

My friend said "Did all that work then get your ass kicked by a box". Throbbing all the way through to my hips. I'm alternating heat and cold. Ice pack needs to refreeze so its heat right now. I can't bend at all. Sucky thing is since I have no insurance I can't get an MRI if a disk slipped.

I was going to get a picture of the red spot on my floor and also clean the pantry today, but Murphy's Law strikes again. At least the laptop is mailed. Had to pack the retail box in a toilet tank box.

I think I'm going to try to nap and see if it lets my back loosen up. I already took 1k mg of naproxyn to see if it will stop any inflammation.

That's, pretty cool, CJ. I stayed in bed most of the day trying to rest my back. Standing and sitting hurt. Been alternating heat and cold. My brother used my bathroom and left the door open so cats got in and knocked stuff down. Ugh. Other than that, I'm just feeling run down/tired. But at least I got the package off to cyberpower and gave them a tracking number.

Replaced 3- 7’ long engineered hardwood boards and a few other miscellaneous repairs.
Rough , rustic MDF core shit wood.
This is my second time back to this woman’s house the first time was a full 8 hour day of replacing boards.
I love it when people buy this crap and then when it starts to splinter in a few tiny little spots the expect a perfect finish.

I am pretty sure this is a Shaw product.
The box has an American flag on it. I would bet the box is made in the USA and the wood is made in Indonesia or China

Did Disney last winter. Nothing changed since I went there 35 years ago!!!
Doing universal this year. My kid doesn't want to do the "baby stuff" Disney has. Lol
