The missus asked me to stop on my way home from work to grab a turkey because she forgot one over the weekend when she went shopping. Got everything else for turkey day except the damn turkey. 😂
So me being a dude and all stopped to grab a bird. Found a small one perfect for just the 3 of us and realized it's just the breast.... This will be the first Thanksgiving I ever had without my drumstick!

I suck at following wife instructions...

I make our grocery list and do the shopping. I can walk through and pick up everything in order, only takes me a few minutes. Takes my wife an hour. She zig zags back and forth to buy stuff and then forgets something.

We did just the breast a few times when it was just the nuclear family with 2 youngsters. I always normally prefer the dark meat. That's why I married a Puerto Rican chick.

Now that’s what cheese looks like! Nachos for dinner.

I had a block of 6 year old aged sharp cheddar. Came home one day and my stepson had eaten the whole block. I had aged it myself. Can't buy any that old around here.

Anyone else keep a lot of food on hand? My old office now has shelves on the wall loaded with food. Canned goods, boxed dinners, tuna, canned chicken, salmon, Bags of pasta, rice, beans, Peanut butter, condiments, snacks, probably 3 months food. 30 rolls of paper towels, 30 rolls of T paper. Cases of bottled water. Ready for the zombie apocalypse.

I don’t have a 3 month preppers supply of food but there’s a spare fridge in the garage. Makes it nice to be able to take advantage of deals when they happen at the grocery store or anytime if you go to Costco. I buy the big value packs of meat and freeze em. Sometimes I’ll break them down to smaller portions then vacuum seal them before I freeze them.

Had a chest freezer for years that was just for meat. I would stock up when the goin was good. The wife asked why I did that. I told her that when it gets slow in January and February we’re still gonna be eating meat for dinner.

My dad always got a side of beef or a pig every year and we packed our basement freezer to the brim. My dad would put a couple Budweisers in the freezer to quickly chill and every so often one got forgotten about and exploded. Guess whose job it was to clean it up. We would have to empty the freezer once a year and thaw out all the ice that built up. That was usually my job too.

I don’t worry too much about keeping a large food supply on hand for the apocalypse because when the shit hits the fan it will be more about who has guns and ammo, those people will simply take other peoples food.

I have several thousand rounds of ammo.
I always put back "winter money" when I was working. My wife could not understand that either. December was always small jobs because people had up their trees. January, they were broke from Christmas.
When tax refunds came in, I would get swamped.

I bought two Marie Calendars turkey dinners for me and my brother. Do you want chips with that?
........get em yourself. 😁

Is Velveeta Arizona's recognized processed food product?
I've always liked it, but probably haven't bought any in the past 25 years.

A lot of restaurants here have signs saying they proudly serve Wisconsin cheese. If your alternative is Velveeta then you should be proud to serve Wisconsin cheese. I can live with that.
