Hi

I would appreciate help. We are staring business in Florida USA. We do laminate, LVT, engineer wood and tiles since 1999 and would like to know if it's necessary when you we do the installation have written services contracts or agreements with the customer to lower the risks that a job could involve.

We have worked in other countries and things are quite different.

Any advise will help.

What is your business model?

It makes a big difference what your business does as to determining what kind of contracts you want to negotiate.

Sounds like what you want to do is similar to Home Depot, Lowes, Lumber Liquidators.........MOST flooring retail operations.

Here's an online example of what LL writes up as far as warranty:

Notice that the manufacturer and installer combine to assume 100% responsibility/liability for any complaints or failures. The store will simply mediate---------they're what we call the middle man.
