have a question. I have the old steel stretcher poles. With the arthritis in my hands, it is hard for me to push in the buttons. Any ideas? Are the buttons on the aluminum poles any easier to push in?

I have ethe aluminum poles 2- 5 footers. I don't have the strength in my fingers to push the buttons in. But I can on the steel poles.

Well crap. Someone suggested that I take the buttons out and use bolts, but that sounds time-consuming.
Go ahead you got more time than you do money. Or is it the other way around.

Yup aluminum ones are harder. Find some kind of pins so they don't gouge out the holes.I definitely have more time than money.
