I've cut with a wet saw with no problem, provided you let it feet itself, and don't push it through with much force. I think a sanded grout looks best. Remember, when applying the thinset, the glass tile is transparent, so do not use a square notched trowel, since you will see the lines. My master bath is full of glass tile, and I personally hate it, since you can see every imperfection.

I cut glass with a dedicated glass wet saw blade and they also make wheeled glass nipper.
Some glass tile gets its color from a backing and not a true colored glass. Those show less lines than clear glass. I will use a notched trowel to insure a proper amount of setting compound then knock down the lines

I also like to use CEG Lite epoxy grout and setting compound. Comes in all the colors. You can set it and if any should fill the joint up its not a problem as you set it and then use the same stuff for the joints. Also if it starts to set up you just mix it up again with no additives necessary. Little pricey. https://www.custombuildingproducts.com/products/grout-materials/epoxy-grout/ceg-lite.aspx#

Here's a custom colored glass tile job I did awhile ago. The people had the old metal cabinets powder coated. There's actually a trim piece that goes under the cabinets so I lucked out not having to cut the tiles. Quartz counter top and some cork I installed.

Looks good E, but I wonder how long it will be before they tire of the red and yellow. Oh by the way floor i just used my glass as a feature strip. I guess I was supposed to fill it with mastic so the glass was level with the ceramic. I didn't. That is what being a diyer...My first backsplash and I'm happy with it.
