Oregon is gonna have a week of hot, (inland) but here on the coast it ought to be in the upper 60's to low 70's. Maybe a little higher. 70ish is sort of normal this time of year for a high.

That ceiling fan needs viagra stat!
It's been hot and humid around here. It rained but didn't cool things off.
My old dog is happily inside and keeps trying to zerg through the door to the coolest room in the house (but she's not allowed in there bc she pees on the rug and gets in my mother's way when she tries to walk). She can't really zerg since she's still somewhat weakened with old age, but she actually wagged her tail when she got in the first time. The smallest dog can just push the door open to get in, but the other dogs don't seem to know how despite having watched him do it hundreds of times. One of the cats tried it, but didn't have the strength, so she waited until the little dog opened the door and leapfrogged over him.
My brother bought me Elder Scrolls Online and they are having a free trial for the premium accounts that ends tomorrow. I've been running quests that I won't have access to when the trial runs out. I'll keep all of the rewards and abilities I got from those quests at least.
Another online friend who is a nurse was asking for advice on how to add a bathroom to her basement.

Nick, that's what I said to her, but I'm still willing to help her with what I know.

Speaking of plumbing, went to take a shower this morning after cleaning out the drain bc my brother left it clogged and gross. I turned the knob to turn on the hot water to start warming it up-- nothing happened. I turned it all the way on then all the way off & the knob felt very loose. So, I have to figure out how to remove it and tighten the screw. I'm sorely tempted to replace it with a lever instead of knob bc it's a pain to turn. Eventually I plan to replace the whole 2-lever system with a single mixing valve lever.

Everything was good at the doctors' office. My mother's bloodwork is better than mine. She gained 8lbs, but I'm hoping to find a way to help her lose the weight again. We both need to shed some pounds.

I’m going in for a prostate biopsy in the morning. If I don’t survive it ... it was nice knowing you all o_O

There is a small plastic cover on the front of the knob Z , lift it off with a screw diver, the screw is there ..

I recall Johnny Carson's Dr's name was Dr Bendover. What's yours?
Hope your test results come out good.

Don, I'm glad the biopsy went ok. I hope the results will be negative. Reminds me that I'm overdue to go in for the "female" exam so I can get my medicine renewed. I'm hoping I can get them to forego the whole skin scraping part and just get the medicine approval. They want me to get my tumors biopsied but it would require invasive surgery and these types of tumors are rarely cancerous.

Nick, the knob has a screw right down the center. It was loose so I tightened it, but it still didn't fix the problem. I wonder if the cartridge is messed up, but it could still be another screw inside. I need to shut the water off and remove the knob to see what is going on. The hot water knob has been wonky for years. Always had to turn it more than we should to get the water to come on, but now nothing happens even when it is turned as far as it can go.

I took my youngest two female kittens to the vet to be spayed this morning. Looks like there is a new vet at the office but she didn't introduce herself. I had to sign off on the surgery & opt-in for pain relief medicine for them. $37 a pop, but I don't want my babies to be in any more pain than they have to be. I called later to check up on them & was told everything went well & they are doing fine. It wasn't even 9am yet but it already felt like a sauna outside.

Are the pipes old cast iron? Possibly buildup in the pipe or maybe rust clogging the area right at the valve connection. The screw just holds the knob in place.
