How wide are the lap joint from the 42" plank
I'll study the joint next time I'm there to look at it's profile. I'm thinkin' closer to 3/16" for the lap.
I'm gonna use a section of the one piece stair tread to do the smaller patch. If it works good, I'll do the larger repair using a board from the pantry. Not sure if maybe a slow set epoxy might be stronger than wood glue.
I'm not worried about doing this thing quickly. Just want it to look good.

I emailed em a week ago and they didn't reply.
I doubt anyone there even knows they once made laminae flooring.

A epoxy might burn a hole in it ..
We use to use regular Elmers white glue to put patches in the lanes .. Never had a problem ..
I might have to do a test with it. Titebond II seems to be the ticket for prefinished wood floor joints. I'm just not sure what bonds best to the core of a lock together laminate.

I would think a water base glue like Elmers Hi..
I've always used Titebond II. When I think of Elmers, I think of 2nd grade art.
Project is 75% complete. I will share some images when it's all done if I can get em off of my phone. Flip phones are a pita for photo use.

We use to use Elmers all the time Hi to put patches in the lanes .. I use Titebond II to glue and pin nail spline .and other stuff in wood floors ..

We didn't use any mechanical fasteners for the board replacements in the lanes Hi.. Never a problem.. And there was 15 lb balls dropped on them every day ..

That article also defends Elmers especially because it dries clear. I've just always used Titebond.

There is no wards in the hospital for that ..
Got my project completed today. Access to the work area was via the backside of the house. Distance traveled each trip was probably 80+ feet and up 16 stairs to the deck.
My trips carrying out all my tools late this afternoon just about did me in. ......2 straightedges, three routers, my table saw table, two table tops for my router and for my spline cutting setup, the vacuum and hose, the clamps, compressor hose and brad nailer lots of misc clamps wood for shims, and guides........... and so on and so on. Way too much crap just to 'slap' in a few planks.

Try changing the file format to a Gif Hi.. It will stay the same size ..
