Did that twice last couple days, got a new phone. But even though I used the Verizon data transfer app it becomes a remember your passwords nightmare.

Scrapple sounds good. I don't think I've ever had it.
I would someday love to try poutine (Canadian dish).
I've never liked Jalepenos because for some reason the ones I got always tasted like cardboard, but I've developed an allergy to them anyway so I have to avoid them.
Nick, that is always so annoying! It's kind of like when your ISP tells you to go online to fix the problem or get support-- when your problem is that you are unable to go online.

I played chauffeur for my friend's fiance, got her some new shoes on clearance to replace the $1 flipflops she had that were falling apart, & bought her lunch. I took her to her cardiology appointment & then went to Sam's club. She helped me load stuff in to the truck. Sat with my friend's grandfather for a bit and talked. Turns out he was the demolition/explosives guy for a movie called Hurry Sundown back in the 60s. Pretty cool.

I'm hoping to take another crack at opening the wall to fix the plumbing for the shower tomorrow (later today). Been taking cold showers in the meantime.

Took my ailing cat to the vet. The brain tumor has been throwing off her balance and now the cancer has spread to her face-- she's got tumors growing in her nasal cavity & causing her face to puff out. Vet started a slightly more aggressive anti-inflammatory treatment, but it's only a matter of time now. She still eats like crazy & loves to cuddle, but if she starts to show signs of pain or respiratory distress I'll have to take her in & put her out of her misery. She is the 7th pet of mine to get cancer within the last 10 years.

Cats are known for getting Cancer .. They catch it from other cats .. Always gave my cat's shots to prevent it ..
You having a Confuser problem ?

That reminds me of one of the guys who took the company van home wondered why it would not start in the morning. Someone had pinched the starter motor. Those were the days when one could actually get under a vehicle without having to jack it up

A guy from my home town back in my days stole a tranny from under a 50 Ford. Cop asked him what he was doing and he said knocked out my tranny. Cop helped him pull it out. Didn't take much for the cop to remember who it was. The original owner was in the movies. This was on main street of the town.

Used to be a night time security guard at a Marriott downtown Tucson when I was like 19. Didn't want the job was upgraded lol. Anyways I had to do rounds every hour, the garage, every level of the hotel in one hour. By the time I made it back to the garage there was frequently a car up on blocks, tires stolen. This was before security cameras. Then the little F'rs would sneak into the hotel and pull a fire alarm. So much fun.
So I started just sitting up on top of the hotel for surveillance. Worked great. Then they wanted me to wear a uniform with no gun. I said kiss my ass goodbye.

My cats & dogs were/are all fully vaccinated but still managed to get cancer-- but, it doesn't work 100% of the time. Although, one of my cats actually got cancer from the rabies vaccine (at the injection site). It's why they stopped giving the vaccine in the back and moved it to the leg-- easier to amputate if they get cancer. Had two young kitties who were vaccinated & tested negative for feline leukemia end up with lung cancer-- and we don't smoke. Could have been genetic though. The sister of the cat who got the cancer from rabies vaccine got a different type of cancer (tumors all up in her abdomen). My dog got a very aggressive kind that formed on her leg.

The tumor on my cat's face shrunk a little after the shot. From what my vet told me, that's a sign that it's the type my dog had.

My brother only got out of bed once-- just long enough to put a chicken snake outside so I didn't get to the wall cutting. I'll see if I can drag his behind out of bed today.

When my father was a teenager, he worked at an old Vaudeville theater that was converted to a movie theater. It had hidden passageways that the cast had used to get from front of theater to back. He used to use those passageways to creep up on people who were trying to sneak in (or letting friends in). I don't think they had the doors with alarms there, so they could open the fire exit/back door to sneak friends in. He would jump out and scare them. I think he was only 5'4" or 5'5" but he literally scared the piss out of them. (And I mean "literally" in the correct way-- not the way people are abusing it nowadays).

I spent some time trying to help one of my brother's former co-workers. I think I mentioned him before. The jerk boss is engaged to the guy's mother. After some local bigots burned down his trailer AND the house he moved into, he had to move back home with his mother & the jerk boss. The boss has been verbally abusing him at work & at home and his mother stole his tax returns (she filed them for him & kept the money). She's refusing to give him his birth certificate so I told him how to get a replacement. I also told him what forms to file to report the theft of his tax returns & get her for fraud. I'm encouraging him to report the abuse/harassment from the boss/stepfather to HR, but he's worried he'll get kicked out bc the boss is known to retaliate when he gets in trouble. I'm also trying to help him find some good mental healthcare because he's having anxiety and depression. Another friend recommended a facility that helped him. I'm hoping he can get out of that house & get away from his toxic thieving mother & get the courage to report her for her crimes-- not only for himself but for his siblings to protect them from her. He will likely have to find another job though bc the boss will absolutely fire him for it.

Went to start a carpet install in an apartment yesterday. Owner saw an area where the newly installed tile was missing some grout. I went to take a look and it wasn't something the guy missed, it was a loose tile causing the problem. Rapping on the floor with my knuckles I discovered a lot of unstuck tiles or corners of tile. We kept looking. Small bathroom was the same and so was the small entry. I was able to lift off an edge tile in the entry. The thinset trowel ridges were 1/4 inch apart and about as tall as spaghetti. In the two tile we removed, there was no thinset stuck to the tile. There were light impressions in the thinset from the triangular embossing on the back of the tile.
To make it worse, it's installed on Hardi............. you need to wet that brand backer board because its so absorbent, right?
We then walked over to the unit i did a couple of months ago. Same thing, loose tiles.
How can this situation be made worse? The cabinets are mounted on top of the tile. ...even worse yet? oh yes. The back splash is tile grouted to the tile counter tops.

He did one thing right. He installed every single tile right side up.:D

So much for me having some work this week.

I don't do tile......... but I could do 10x better.
...even a 10 year old could.
The bright side might be that the tiles will probably come up in one piece with very little cleanup.
