Jon, Lets see if sys repair fixes the crashing ..

Boot up the confuser .
Hold the boot button down till you see those little circles spinning it will shut down..
When you boot back up it will bring you to the sys repair screen ..
Let it do it's thing ..
Let me know if that fixes it for you ..

Yeah I think its sorted as she went through and got rid of lots of photos etc onto a stick
Think Chrome was the hassle
Likes her new laptop though even though it doesn't have a DVD player and getting used to Windows 10
 
I can not believe she actually tried. :)
Think it was Chrome that caused the issues
I have since talked to a bunch of people. The updates that Chrome installed had a glitch that screwed up a lot of stuff. Blocked several gamers out of their games. It thought Facebook was a virus, too.
