Wouldn't ya think something like that would have been all over school the next morning?
She doesn't remember the place or the home the party was at, or the occasion, or the year? ...and it takes 35 years for the story be told? How accurate is a memory that's 35 years old? How convenient it comes to light a couple days before the vote.
I'm neither a supporter or critic of Kavanaugh. I think he's wise to not disclose his personal views on hot topics. Doing so would lock him in to decisions he has to make and might draw in cases because of his views. Any nomony should be careful about stating personal views.

Wish there was a way to stop that. Both sides are winner take all.

Term limits would eliminate this all over

McConnell would be gone and he is running the show right now, and has been for years. As a matter of fact Dems have tried to bring the exact legislation up and McConnell and his gang won't allow it.

The stuff about Rosenstein is "deza" to distract from the Kavanaugh nomination.
I agree we need term limits. We also need to get rid of gerrymandering.
And I propose a new Amendment: Congress shall make no laws granting special benefits, privileges, and/or exemptions to members of Congress that are not afforded to average citizens.
I think the salary cap on law enforcement agents should be removed (why the eff should Congress get so much more $ than people who work much longer hours?)
We also need to revisit Citizens United & limit how much $ can be donated to campaigns & the money should be tracked to make sure they aren't getting "dark money".
Whenever they get deadlocked & want to shut down the government, they should not get paid for that time.
I also believe that since Congress members may be privy to classified information, anyone who can't pass a basic security clearance can't run for office. They should also have to pass basic civics tests & be able to pass the naturalization test given to immigrants to become citizens. If people are required to know that stuff to become citizens, they should damn well have to know it to become lawmakers.

Actually how many of us ,us meaning Americans could pass the test? I probably couldn't. Just being honest.

I don't know. How much history is on it? I am kinda a history buff.

I could pass it , But i would have to remember not to use indelable ink pens for my crib notes ..
