I assume you were able to get the M/C down ?
See my meter is set for the specific gravity at 68. So many eucalyptus species out there. Should be good.

Specific gravity is 68 for eucalyptus? Never knew S/G was the calibration factor. Dang, the things I learn here.
I' guessing it takes a lot longer for eucalyptus to acclimate than most woods?

Yes my meter has pre-settings for lots of different species of wood. If a species is not preset then all you need to do is look up the specific gravity somewhere like USDA or FPL. As for the SG it's all over the place just in one single tree!

Yes I installed the base, It was half plaster walls and half sheet rock. Plaster walls really suck. The original wasn't really base per se but a kinda scribe molding. Imagine a cut down 3/4 x 3 inch 2 x 4. This one Home was built if the 60's.
Ya really cannot install a glued down floor without the ratchet straps. I have about twenty of them. I do need longer straps because the typical ratchet strap only goes about 15 to 18 feet.
