So, I thought I was just remembering incorrectly, but I wasn't: Trump's legal team admitted that there was collusion with the Russians but that it wasn't illegal. There is no crime called collusion, but there is conspiracy.
Trump admits to things and commits obstruction openly, then claims he never said things that he's been recorded saying.

I see Trump is threatening another government shutdown over the border wall that he promised Mexico would pay for.

His campaign talk was entertaining, but I don't care who pays for it. I don't think any Trump supporter does.

This is the brilliant FBI we hold close to heart. A close friend of mine retired from the ARMY, worked for the DEA and a couple other government agencies. He's written computer programs to track criminals, he's made his own phone apps. One smart cookie.

Well, in one movie, a line is "the FBI couldn't find a hooker in a whore house".

Many years ago, my friend wrote a program of some sort that would connect the dots in locating people the sheriffs department or maybe State Police were looking for. He wasn't employed by them at the time. The FBI wanted to know how he did that. ....hence he said they are dumb as a box of rocks.

Believe it or not, government officials are allowed to have and discuss personal views of politicians.

A Christmas Story Revisited

Pretty good, tho you know I'd prefer it the other way around.

My father was with INS for 30 years (retired in 2002). He told me FBI agents were usually very arrogant and that whenever they got involved they would screw things up. His people called them the "f***ing feebs". Mind you, he knew some good agents that he worked with as well. He liked Special Agent Black (not joking, that was his surname) in Guam and said he was a good guy. But the agency has changed. Now not only do they have to pass a polygraph just to get hired, they have to take one every 5 years to stay in.

As for the deleted texts, I was told it is standard procedure to wipe government phones and re-use them and that it was normal for them to have deleted the texts & that the deletion happened before there was any subpoena.

Christmas Story was my favorite christmas movie after Die Hard.

I came here to vent slightly about a couple of ignorant a$$holes I encountered today. One was in the Chinese restaurant. After the waitress took my order, guy at the table next to me starts mocking her and making fun of her accent. I turned to him and said "Hey, there's no need to make fun of her and be a racist a$$hole! English is not an easy language to learn and there are people born in this country who struggle with it." Fortunately, he was done eating and was leaving by the time I was returning to my table so I didn't have to glare at him the entire time I ate. I was just not in the mood for racist BS today. LOL.

The other moron I encountered was a feminazi on Twitter who was announcing that she would *only* vote for a female candidate for president and that only a woman could win and she would not vote for any men. Several people politely pointed out that it's best to go by qualification, policy, and integrity. She only responded to the ones that were clearly men and said "Says a white man" and then "Says another white man". A woman piped and and said she agreed with the men but got no response. I was bored so I pointed out that people like that feminazi are why people hate real feminists and mistake them for the idiots who want to be superior whereas true feminism means equality. I pointed out it was sexist and made her look like an idiot. Yeah, I wasted my time arguing on Twitter. LOL.

I'm glad that here we can disagree respectfully and no one here is a flaming moron.

The FBI called in my son for an interview a year after he applied. His entry job out of college at the county .gov paid ten grand more than they were offering. Don't know how they are getting the best of the best with that. Plus they will move you all the time.

Ernesto, the lower pay is the reason they used to have very cushy healthcare plans and retirement packages. They aren't as good as they used to be though. I saw someone griping up a storm about how federal employees are overpaid, not realizing that FBI agents (and other federal law enforcement agents) don't get time & a half and if they are at the salary cap, they don't even get any overtime pay at all (if they work 50 hours or more per week they get LEAP- 25% of their salary added in-- but the amount they get is the same whether they work 50, 60 or even 70 hours).

Mike Flynn got his ass chewed by the judge today. Told he should have been charged with treason. Fox said Flynn was entrapped and didn't know it was a crime to lie to the FBI. Flynn testified that he was was *not* entrapped and that he knew it was a crime. I predict more mega meltdowns from Trump on Twitter.

As for the immigrant girl who died, from what I understand it was that they denied her medical treatment, not water. She was vomiting and I think she had diarrhea. So she might not have been able to keep any water down and may have needed IV fluids. I think my father would have been positively apoplectic if something like that had happened on his watch.

I'm surprised that everyone points blame to the US Government on this. This ILLEGAL jumps the border with an obviously very sick child, but claims she is in perfect condition. She gets sick, transported to the hospital and dies. Yep, it is Trump's fault, not the fault of the father.
