Perimenopause (something I didn't ever hear about in school & that doesn't seem to get a lot of press) seems to be kicking my ass. It's a pre-menopausal hell that is supposed to start in mid to late 40s but started in my late 30s & it sucks. Apparently it can last years. Apparently not all women get it-- my mother just went straight to menopause in her 50s. I don't think my sister has had it yet, but I haven't compared notes. I've been talking to other women around my age who are going through it now & we all agree it sucks & we hope it will end soon. Memory loss, trouble concentrating, mood swings, weight gain, irregular cycles, irregular heartbeat, exhaustion, excessive sweating, irritability, & hot flashes are some of the symptoms. The memory loss is the worst with exhaustion & trouble concentrating being 2nd. The sweating is highly annoying as well. The medicine was helping for awhile but it doesn't seem to be helping anymore so I will either need different medicine or a higher dosage.
On the upside, I now have all the stuff I need to attempt to grind down the floor, I just need to clean up the space & wait for my friend to come over on Tuesday. He gets food, some work gloves, and safety glasses out of it. Any tips or suggestions before he comes out to try to grind down the self-leveling crap? I think if he can get down the high spots & sharpest bumps it will make it easier to use some sort of skim coat like stuff to smooth out the rest (and I will make sure to use it right away instead of waiting).
So much better producing so much fuel that we are not owned by OPEC anymore.............. right? ......naysayers?
