I try to lay the planks out so on the opposite jamb I put a butt joint in the doorway. Sometimes easier to install that way.

Maybe they had just enough tile to do it that way.

Had the family over today and filled up the traeger with pig shots,shotgun shells and bacon wrapped chicken thighs. Have a little left over for tomorrow.

I definitely don't rack flooring like that and do watch for like planks next to each other.

Another way is just to nail it down and fill the nail holes.

Maybe if you lift it 1/8" you can put wood glue and use an air spray can duster to blow the glue in there.

Shaw makes wood floor adhesive we use to glue them together. Looks like regular wood glue. I think you could water it down and flood it in there and it might work good enough. Or what about just using a good glue like PL adhesive and glue the whole board down by using a stick to push some under...

When I started it was push and sculptured shag.

My house had an ugly board going up the steep old staircase. Fixed that with a carpet cap. Been meaning to put some new carpet on these but haven't got the ambition to do it yet. Might be 25+ years old.

I used to buy cheap carpet tools on ebay to double up on tools. Haven't done that in 12 years.

Stopped in to a garage sale yesterday. Scored an 80lb roller with case for $10. So deals out there.

I use the green filter in my ridgid vac, clean them off for a couple of years before I go get a new one. Work better than the white,cheaper one.

Finally have some time to get some of my stuff done. Wife took her bike to work and tipped over and hairline cracked her left wrist. She's off til September 1 but can't help with most of the stuff that needs done. Got our patio coated, now dump runs and painting.
