    6’ goods stored on end

Gundlach #4 lino truck. Beno | Beno J. Gundlach, Co. We use ours here by tilting the cart to horizontal, setting the roll on the cart with a pole and then standing the cart up. Since it's up about waist high when it's horizontal it's not nearly as bad as lifting them flat off the floor to...

    vinyl sheet flooring and asbestos

After asbestos many products went to felt-backing. Mannington still makes residential and commercial sheet with felt backing. We don't sell a lot of it anymore. Most residential felt backed products have moved to "glass back" which is a combination of vinyl reinforced with fiberglass...

They make a tool for doing that. You set the roll on the truck and then stand the truck up... Nice on the jobsite too because you can grab a roll tip it horizontally and with the rollers on the cart it will unroll right off the cart for doing your cuts.

    Does this exist?

I'm a little late to the part on this thread but Mannington Commercial has a style within the Nature's Path offering called Windsor Oak. The product is available in multiple widths and colors including a 3" wide product. It's been around for many years and has a proven track record. It's also...

    Defective markings?

The technical term is "decorative distressing". (Not kidding either, that's really what it's called). From the marketing/design team departments point of view it's supposed to create a rustic visual that resembles an aged wood floor to add more depth and realism. Thanks @Mark Brown now you...

    Pegasus Spyware

It's not even that complicated. They can't see anything anyway because my surface sits with the keyboard closed (backwards) which blocks the backside camera underneath my monitor stand so the only thing they'd see from my front camer if they cared to would be the bottom of my monitor stand. I...

    Pegasus Spyware

Not sure if anyone picked up on it, but several flooring manufacturers and distributors have been hit with ransomware in the past 3 years. Tarkett and Mannington have both had significant attacks. It took months for them to work through and resolve everything.

    Pegasus Spyware

Yeah, and it wasn't even through a computer that they got in. It was through a monitoring device that had weak security set up on it. People don't want to make things too hard to get into so they set up passwords that are just asinine like 1234 or 0000 so that all their workers know how to get...

    Pegasus Spyware

Many people don't realize that Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started into the computer industry and were largely funded by their production of "Blue Boxes" back in the day. These were devices that were used to skirt the phone system and make long distance calls without incurring charges. This...

    Pegasus Spyware

I'm on a mailing list for a site called ZDnet. I get daily security news (among other IT news) from them and it's interesting how fast new hacks, viruses, phishing schemes, zero-day exploits, and ransomware attacks come about. This morning's news story offers a little hope though...

Newly installed floors do not have consistent expansion gap

Wow. You can already see in picture #3 (going across) that there's a significant amount of tension to lift up the decor layer of the flooring. That spot alone is going to create a significant problem sooner rather than later. Picture #2 isn't much better. How do you miss an end joint that...

    Gas prices

Just a question @Jon.... If I moved there with my considerable girth (or as Sears used to put it when I was a kid - "Huskiness") would I be considered a turkey rather than an adopted Kiwi? 😊 I told you before, I do have SOME special talents: Whenever a glue bucket is opened within 10 feet...

    Recommendations for Glue Down LVP?

Yes, new underlayment would be called for to do a good job with this product or really any glue down product. You want the floor flat (the flatness standards are listed in the installation instructions) but are generally within 3/16" in a 10' span in any direction. And you want the floor...

    Recommendations for Glue Down LVP?

You're correct. The Better has a 12mil wearlayer vs the Best with a 20. Their wearlayer is a good wearlayer. It's a modified urethane with an diamond dust additive (thus the "Diamond 10" branding). The only thing that's a bit concerning is that the overall thickness of the product is .080"...

With the ease of obtaining a VPN it's virtually impossible to even know where they are unless you have some NSA/CIA type decryption software. I had attempts from California, Kentucky, Texas, Florida, Sweden, Germany, Thailand, China, Russia, Vietnam, India, UAE, Philippines, Brazil, etc. Most...

I would love to but unfortunately I'd probably burst into flame from the heat if you're talking Scottsdale, AZ. I tolerate heat like a fat baby in a Baptist church - I sweat until I pass out crying. I've had 3 heat strokes and I fry like bacon in the sun due to a couple of my prescriptions. I...

    Recommendations for Glue Down LVP?

Armstrong makes a good product and if you've like the performance I would recommend you stay with it. Here's why, The wearlayers in LVT can be quite different from manufacturer to manufacturer even when the specifications seem the same. What this can result in if you start to "mix"...
