    Talking about marks on baseboards, I just finished a resand job and I got some stain onto the baseboards. I tried wiping it with paint thinner. But I only managed to get some of it off. Any suggestions?

    I don't see why you shouldn't just leave the nosing in place. You'll just have to be careful when you rip the floor out not to damage this piece. Any imperfections that result can be filled with wood filler

    I know I'm a bit late on this one. I am not sure about this tiger wood , but the Brazilian cherry which tends to darken a lot too over time, will not keep on getting darker forever. I would say that after a year or two it won't get any darker. Prob same here

    I always knew that with glue down you must use engineered wood. Solid wood has to be nailed down. Is this true?

    Of course I'm doing double glue down! I just wish it would be possible to know the approx results before I start working
