    gap between carpet and heater base is about 1/4" max but you can see the wall and tack strip now since the carpet does not reach the wall....it is a commercial short loop like carpet, the gap is between wall and carpet .the carpet just makes it to the tach strip along a 5ft strip. you can see...

    hi, had carpet installed and they left a one inch gap over a 5' length under a heater that they thought would not show....but it does. they are going to come back and i would like to know what is the proper way to repair. pull up the one entire side and stretch it all or just the one section...
