    Hardwood Tone Matching

    Hey all. I'm looking to blend the original 1955 red oak into some new red oak top nail. Would I need to stain the new one, or just seal (Bona Drifast) and 2 coats of finish (Bona Woodline Poly). I want the tones to be as similar as possible. Thanks! Pic.

    Sanding Middle Floor Filler in Joint

    Any secret to getting this out? I already belt sanded. I was planning on using an edge sander, but am apprehensive about messing up the level. Does all wood filler need to be gone? Pic.

    1. can i use cork board to level the plank subfloor? 2. does the aquabar go above or under the cork board? 3. what type of wood filler goes best with red oak? 4. can i use stapes to fasten cork board to the lower planks, or just trust the brads nails will fasten it? 5. when i sand it down...

    How to Level Plank Subfloor

    The biggest differential between boards is about 1/8 inch. What would you use to level it? Newbie here. Thanks. Also, it's mostly level with the hardwood on the adjoining room. What would I need to put under this and between the subfloor and boards? It's red oak 2'' x 5/16.

    Subfloor uneven by kitchen and dining room blend

    Looking to continue/blend my hardwood from dining room into kitchen. Kitchen subfloor is about 1/2 inch higher than dining room subfloor. I'm a newbie. Options: 1. Make kitchen subfloor thinner 2. Make a gradual ramp 3. Make kitchen hardwood sanded down and dinner than dining room Any ideas...
