I have set hundreds of toilets. Most good plumbers will tell you NEVER stack rings. Use a hard spacer made for this purpose. Our HD has 2 thicknesses and most plumbing supply houses have them in varying thicknesses. Here they are less than 3.00 apiece.

Try an air chisel. They're cheap and easy to sharpen on site w/ a belt sander.

Not the cheepest idea here, but one that wiull work...Double faced tape designed for stair treads. would work well as well.

Any decent Scandinavian store will carry those. We have a Teak pull out table w/ hidden leaves. Those Scandinavians are really clever.

Cut a piece of treated lumber the right diameter but cut it on an angle like a cork or round wedge and PL it in place. Premium PL w/ urethane.
