Treads don't fit exactly (bowed stringers or risers) -what is the standard solution to cover the gaps ?

In general probably that is true but in my case the risers and the stringers are white as well so it is going to be less obvious The other option could be something transparent to close the gap and avoid dust and drt accumulation inthose spaces. We vacuum the floor but you would still get stuff...

Treads don't fit exactly (bowed stringers or risers) -what is the standard solution to cover the gaps ?

You can see below that the first tread fits perfectly (almost) The second one has a minor gap between the tread and the rister but the third one has gaps between itself and riser and stringer I also have a longer stairs segment that leads to the basement that shows the same problem What is the...

How far should a handrail extend beyond the contact point with the post (interior stairs)?

Hmm interesting solution but it does not entirely apply to my case Here is the current situation, trying to dry fit the handrail As you can see it comes pretty close to the post not sure if I have lots of room for screws and a mitered cut there Are there any other options here ? How far should a handrail extend beyond the contact point with the post (interior stairs)?

I am inclined to cut them short and leave them like that (just flush with the mounting bracket at each end Worst case scenario I would do this (etend the ends downward to formally end the handrail

Is there a max ratio that you need to stay under when you notch a newel post in order to secure it to the joists?

OK here is the cut for the above last picture. There are some challenges regarding making this larger, please see the numbered diagram below Right now the tenon is 2"x1.5"x6". Is this going to hold ? I am going to use PL Premium and maybe structural screws from the left side, see the last...

Is there a very liquid adhesive that I can pump under two boards to glue them back to the floor?

So I tried the above method using a syringe and carpenter glue. The clear pvc tube that came with the syringe was useless since it was too flexible and it wont go deep enough under the floor I have used the feed pipe (the one in the bottle) from an use Ants Out spray and that fit on the syringe...

Is there a very liquid adhesive that I can pump under two boards to glue them back to the floor?

Whoa ....for that money I can buy an entire box of hardwood and fix the area :-)) I already ordered and received a pair of 150ml syringes and I have needles already I am lucky that my floor has variations and those are black spots of various sizes (knots) some are really small some are bigger...

Is there a very liquid adhesive that I can pump under two boards to glue them back to the floor?

Not skilled enough to remove them... I think the best way to remove them is to pull them out from the yellow end as that yellow board is not there anymore The problem is that I don't that they will go back in and look as smooth and clean as they are now.....

Is there a very liquid adhesive that I can pump under two boards to glue them back to the floor?

Is there a very liquid adhesive that I can pump under two boards to glue them back to the floor?

I think the stick might be a good idea but I will have to hope that at the blue end I can push PL in a very thin layer under the boards which might not be possible hence my hope to find something really liquid
