Bought this marshalltown screed today. Spent 140 with tax. Got tired of 6 footers or a bucket and a string.
Had to go to a building supply company cus flooring sundry supply only has 6 footers. Go figure.
Huge difference when checking flatness of substrates vs 6 ft.
Its gonna make me lots of money on prep.
Had a few hollow spots lately working with 8 ft long planks which seems almost normal these days.

It's actually a screed? Looks like something from a metal sales place.... 'cept it's real shiney. I could buy a 20 foot length of 3"angle aluminum locally.

Yes, but it's not designed to be a screed, 4 sided
They have 16 footers too. Hehe

But angle iron/aluminum nor is a 2x4 designed to be a screed. Its four sided metal and flat as any level.
