Today I start my 54th year installing. Mostly carpet as that was my love, most of the time fuzzy side up. Lot of good memories and some not so good but not many. Worked for some famous and well known people over the years. Traveled alot with CFI and Orcon doing trainings. Loved the teaching. Still do a job here and there when the phone rings. Love it.

Congrats, Daris. I am only to 46 years. Work is scarce here. I only want to do something once in a while anyway. How is your shoulder?

But I will still be checking up on you guys to fill the day in :)
I am in the process of selling my mothers old house which has been rented out for years too cheaply as I didnt want to spend any money on it as I figured who ever buys it would be for land value only. Its maybe 30 mins out from Auckland City with good views if you went up one story. Thought about selling where I live now then putting a new house on Greenhithe but thats too much of a hassle, anybody got close to a NZ$ million? Maybe drop to 750 grand

If you have a spare house worth $1 million, why are you working at all?

Then what would I do all day?
It keeps my brain thinking and after I get down that first time in the morning to feed the cat I am struggling to get up again then I am good to go for the rest of the day

Ernesto that does not make sense
If you buy a farm there is always something to do so therefore you dont have time to travel the world
Friends here have bought lifestyle blocks and then they have found they have no life style so they have sold them :)

Farms must be cheap in your area

I would have liked it if you were doing my woven job...... Just to make you eat your words. Miserabley slow in a log home. 2 bedrooms and a set of stairs....... Is 8 hours too long to trim, seal and seam a 15 foot seam?
