Advice on Retiling Project

I'm new to the forum and would appreciate some expert advice on a floor re-tiling project.

The tile was installed wrong in the first place. Tile should have thinset, tile board, thinset and then tile in that order. Or Ditra instead of tile board. Tile put directly on plywood with either thinset or mastic will fail.
