I have started getting that annoying "are you sure you want to leave this page" popup, again. Haven't had that since I turned off "user controls" on Vista, right after I got this thing. Is this more crap from IE9? Or an add-on?

It's the Java Script . IE9 Internet Options > Security tab > Security level > Custom level > Disable Scripting.
For Firefox , Download No Script add on .
