This video is a look back on where I live and the counties logging history..
In the comments below the video some guy from San Diego comments that he is currently working on the restoration of the Coos Bay #11, a train shown just before the 45 minute mark in the video.

 
In the second part of the video it shows and mentions logging camps and train tracks way up in the hills.... and I do mean out in the middle of nowhere. I've traveled all over up in those places and there isn't a piece of anything man made anywhere. I think they dismantled the logging camps and moved those little towns to the next logging site once they raped and pillaged the forest.
 
These days, the logging industry is a tiny fraction of the days gone by. Instead of 30 to 40 ships per month coming into Port for lumber and logs, have 3 or 4, mostly loading wood chips, tho there is still one log loading dock.
On the bright side, we have a Wal Mart Superstore. :ghostly:
