Can you still buy Hyde knives?

It was the perfect carpet knife, trim and tuck with the same tool.I can't remember owning one. Looks like it worked on jute back. I can't imagine anything but razors these days.
Maybe the guy with the $500 stretcher will sell you one for $45 bucks.
I owned a Crain tucking trimmer, but they were a joke.
With shipping about $20 each on line. I will check at a store next time I am in Joplin.
We used to use a kitchen sharpener stone to sharpen them. We made a contest out of it of how small you could get the knife before it snapped. Most guys would sharpen the curve out of them , it was kind of a trick to keep it curved.I like the shorter Hyde knife. Guess I need to dig through my old tool boxes.
I could get them sharper than any knife I ever owned. We used to use a kitchen sharpener stone to sharpen them. We made a contest out of it of how small you could get the knife before it snapped. Most guys would sharpen the curve out of them , it was kind of a trick to keep it curved.
We had a guy while we were sitting eating our lunch would sit and sharpen his knife. When done you could shave with it mostlikely. One of the guys asked him to see the knife and how sharp it was. Then he would drag it sharp side down across his stone and completely take the edge off. Then the race was on.I could get them sharper than any knife I ever owned.
