Changing the direction of bamboo

Good morning fellas ,

I have an install going into a room and was curious with the best method to do the flooring that was behind the doorway ? I would normally use a slip tougue and reverse the direction . However the material is 5/8 " inch thick . I wasnt sure if a traditional slip tougue would work . Please advise .

I usually just rip some pieces off a plank.
