character grade

Just a word of caution. Lately I have seen hardwood culls, the bad or damaged stuff, listed as "character grade" hardwood. Just be careful what you buy because much of it is probably not useable.
 
Bruce had that here for years now .. They have the Dundee , A grade under that, and a grade under that .. [ Firewood].
 
I'd like to see names for other grades. Character grade sounds like a legit description of wood with a lot of variance. I've seen hickory cabinets with very different and distinct color and grains, (wild) and others with rather monotonous coloration and grain. Is monotonous a grade? :D
