Ok so about to install lvp threw out my house. A couple rooms have linoleum in them currently. I know you can lay over it but what about the seam where it ends. I’m assuming going from a kitchen with linoleum to a subfloor in the dining room that the drop in height however small would be an issue. It’s been an argument for the last few days. I saw why he lazy and just pull the linoleum but others think the seam at the edge won’t show. So. If transitioning from subfloor to a room with linoleum on the subfloor should the linoleum come off?

The term linoleum if often used when referring to vinyl. Linoleum is thicker than most vinyls.... so that said, it really depends on how thick it is or if it's actually more than one layer. If it's thin enough, I would use floor patch/filler to feather it out 6 to 18 inches.
How much of a drop in height is there.... the thickness of a dime or three dimes?
