How about the price of new cars ? Unemployment went up 0.8 % already , and this idiot wants to go up to 500 Billion on the tariffs ..
Wait till his red meat , Buttermilk, cornbread supporters see their stocks go down .. Be careful what you wish for , You just may get it ..

If you want to compete globally your employees get no benefits, health insurance and there's no environmental safe guards. Plus your paycheck is on par with child labor in china.

Wait till there are robots that can install carpet 4 times more efficiently than humans.
.......ok, that's a stretch. Jobs like construction are a hands on where mechanization just won't happen very soon. Lots of jobs fall into the robot or mechanized category tho. Fast foods, retail and grocery etc. That's more of a worry to me in the near future that the settling out of the tariff issues.

Good reasoning for tariff increases. Thanks. :p
If Trumps tariff increases create more fair trade, then it's gonna en up being a good thing. If he says 15% or 30% for a particular country or a particular product..... steel, aluminum , car parts or something , it can always be negotiated down later and finalized at a point that's fair to both sides. That's what he's doing. He's done this his entire life. He's not stupid. Calling him stupid assumes 1/2 the US population is stupid......even tho they will elect him a second time in a heartbeat.
Look at the public confidence , employment levels, minority employment levels, housing sales and home building boom .
Try to find something negative and there simply isn't that much to bitch about.
......ok, $40 for a sheet of 1/4 inch plywood I will bitch about. That's because demand is so high because housing is booming and creating a shortage.
..............so is that really a bad thing that housing is in such demand?
Hate him because he's wealthy, hate him because he's a boastful, egotistical braggart or posts stupid comments on Twitter........ but he's doing good stuff. Same stuff he promised to his supporters, the people who voted for him.

Price would be lower if people were unemployed. It appears many people are doing very well. (not me or you.......... just the "them"
A business teacher in high school told us there is no way the unemployment rate could ever go below 5 or 6 percent.

I can't see the employment rate getting much better............ at best stay even. We're running out of employable people at the 4% level.
Compare Trump to Obama. Nobody can blame Bush for 8 years of Obama's record unemployment rates. He tanked the economy from day one. Tax corporations and the rich into submission and like Obama did and see how that works out........... the graph is from our government, not FOX. It speaks in undeniable terms. What Trump is doing is working. In with balls, out with snowflakes. :D
https://data.bls.gov/pdq/SurveyOutputServlet?request_action=wh&graph_name=LN_cpsbref3, Trump has made businesses unafraid to hire.

Funny how Trump said in campaign speeches the unemployment rate was horrible and you cannot believe the statistics. LOL

He was such a poor business man that he has been bankrupt several times. Illegals built his resort and did not get paid.

Unemployment rate means nothing. It doesn't count those that have given up looking. And it doesn't count those that have taken a minimum wage job because they can find nothing else. And if your unemployment checks have run out, you are not counted.

And Obama was a good business man? Please share what business he ran, or even worked for? He was a black puppet, who had no ideas, no job, and never impressed me. I still have a hard time when he slipped 1200 blacks out of prison solely due to their race or Muslim affiliation.

Factor in how much US debt China owns. The more they hurt us, the more it hurts themselves.......... and their economy isn't doing all that well compared to ours.
Trump has the upper hand.

Bond selloff also bad for China
President Xi Jinping would have to be mighty angry to dump treasuries in droves, because a sell off would have a negative impact on its own financial affairs. "It's like holding a gun to your own head and saying I have a hostage," says Reinhart.

If China were to sell its bond holdings, it would likely have to sell it at least some of the treasuries it purchased at a loss. If other countries sold, too, and prices plummet then it could lose billions. "It will inflict capital losses on itself," says Reinhart.

The U.S. dollar would also fall, which would then make this trade-related provocation somewhat moot, adds Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics. A lower greenback would make U.S. exports more attractive, which would then hurt China's own export market. "It would negate some of the impact," he says. "Rates might spike, but the dollar would fall and what's the net impact of that? It doesn't feel like it's a winning strategy."

Lots of theories and 'what ifs' all across the board.

In a multi-pronged attack to remove protections for patients with pre-existing conditions, Trump has suspended payments to insurance companies that stabilize their losses from the sickest patients. This will result in premium increases next year. At the same time they are doing this, they are trying to remove coverage for pre-existing conditions in red states. This will result in the sickest of people getting no coverage at all since the companies will be able to tell them no and the costs will increase to such a degree they cannot pay for it anyway.

"The Trump administration said Saturday it’s freezing payments under an “Obamacare” program that protects insurers with sicker patients from financial losses, a move expected to add to premium increases next year.

At stake are billions in payments to insurers with sicker customers."
