DIY Top Nail Install

1. can i use cork board to level the plank subfloor?
2. does the aquabar go above or under the cork board?
3. what type of wood filler goes best with red oak?
4. can i use stapes to fasten cork board to the lower planks, or just trust the brads nails will fasten it?
5. when i sand it down, approximately how much surface am i taking off to make it level? Around 1/16?
6. what do you call this kind of subfloor? It's different than every type on youtube.
