Hello,

I am a bit confused about where I will start my first row to install laminate flooring. Please see the attached picture. The size of the planks are 7-2/3 in Width and 50-4/5 in Lenght

No issue, just cut that first board. Just make sure you leave a 1/4" gap, and add a temporary spacer from stopping any movement.

you mean cut the first board equal to 5-3/4 inches in width?

Just cut a piece out of the first plank to fit the bump out (2', according to your drawing) then the rest will line up correctly.
