recently had someone rip up my carpet and stain and finish the hardwood underneath , after all was done there was some scratches on the wood
To fix the scratches the floor guy (not sure why, i didnt know better) restained those areas, told me it would fix it, not it looks weird and the guy is not picking up my calls.
how can i fix this? can i get very fine sand paper and rub it of or ?

Dafuq?

Did the guy tape it off? Strange. You might be able to blend it in with a spray can. That's what I'd try first.

Oh jeez. Is that built up finish on the edges where he taped it off? If so, he needs to not tape a section off like that. Id recommend that he buff the whole floor down and do another coat!

sand the area where scratch happened, apply coating again, before that get a sample piece to test to insure the color will match the old areas.
