Hi everyone

I have a 10 year old house in the Midwest with prefinished hickory hardwood floors. Recently had a water leak and had to have small portion of floor replaced. They installed unfinished hickory and sanded the rest down and refinished. The wood was acclimated inside for several days before the work began. Some subfloor was replaced where moisture readings > 10. They just completed the 3rd finishing coat with a water based solution. Now we have a large amount of unevenness in the format of waves / ripples / chatter.

I am attaching some photos and would be great full for an opinion of whether this result is to be expected. Note the space was about 1000 Sq ft and I can feel the waves with my hand, feels uneven.

Thanks for any input or advice on this matter in advance!

They are stop marks from the Drum sander . They destroyed your floor .

We have a lot of excellent floor inspectors on here . Let us know where you are . Maybe one is near you . Then take them to court to get your money back.

It is correctable but may need resanding. The ripples can be caused by a number of things, most of the time from the sander's drum sander.

Those are Drum marks Eddie . there are other issues with the floor to .
