Evidence why some cops need better training & having hair-trigger guns is a bad idea.
How the hell did this dude not realize he fired his weapon into his partner's back? WTF?

(They were serving a warrant to look for a person and were let in to the place by a landlady- I FF to the part where they said it was clear and they didn't need to have their guns out, but this idiot pulled the trigger bc he got spooked by a dog- what ensued was a clusterf*** of panic & unprofessionalism).
Not only did these guys not have proper gun training, it seems they didn't have First Responder training either. Should have kept her still, applied pressure to the wound, and waited for the ambulance. Instead they moved her all around.

Spencer carbine, any of a family of rim-fire repeating arms—both carbines and rifles—that were widely used in the American Civil War. The carbine was invented by Christopher M. Spencer of Connecticut and was patented in 1860. Its buttstock contained a magazine carrying seven cartridges that could be fired in about 18 seconds. The cartridges were fed to the breech by pressure from a spring in the magazine. With the addition of the Blakeslee cartridge box as an auxiliary, the Spencer carbine had greatly improved capacity for sustained fire. The box contained from 6 to 13 tin tubes, each of which held seven cartridges. The carbine was almost exclusively a cavalry weapon, and it was normally chambered in .52 calibre. The weapon had a 22-inch (56-centimetre) barrel and was 39 inches long overall. The Spencer rifle was of similar design but had a barrel 47 inches long.

    The author said.
"Wagner conceded to local media that it was “probably a long shot that something like this passes in whole cloth,”

He just wants some attention. He's getting it. Good thing 'cause people need to know.
We're a nut job state Ern. Our governor got re-elected. We rank near the bottom of the country in HS graduation rates. second place maybe? She took over the term of Crooked Ted, then got elected, and now re-elected. She's not a gun fan and a gas tax fan (ours was raised by her)

A new study by the Dept. of Justice shows that 0.8% of guns used to commit crimes came from a gun show. DOJ-report.png
