I support Americans being free to train in firearms use without having to contend with useless draconian restrictions, laws and proposed laws that only endanger the law-abiding.

Banning modern sporting rifles which are functionally no different than rifles made over 100 years ago. i.e. Remington Model 8 and Winchester 1905.

Ridiculous magazine capacity restrictions - Companies do not make "7-rd" magazines for the majority of the guns they manufacture.

Banks reporting to the government how much ammo people buy - U.S. Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA.) and U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.)

Charge 35% ammunition tax - Rep. Jillian Gilchrest (D-CT)

Charge a $200 tax and require registration of modern sporting rifles and each magazine a person has. - Joe "Let's Go Brandon" Biden

Limit firearm ammunition purchases to twice a gun’s capacity every 90 days - Sen. Roxanne Persaud (D-NY)

Make the names and addresses of handgun owners public. - Rep. Stephen D. Dargan (D-CT)

Go through a three-day waiting period unless at least two hours of anger management training is completed. Sen. Audrey Gibson (D-FL)

Require county sheriffs to conduct annual safe-storage inspections in the homes of registered semi-automatic rifle owners. Sen Ed Murray - (D-WA) (He apparently has never heard of the 4th Amendment)

California lawmakers proposed a 5 cent tax on each bullet purchased.

These are but a few of the laws and proposed laws anti-rights lawmakers have put forth. None of them will reduce crime since criminals by their very nature do not obey laws. In fact such laws just embolden criminals who no longer need fear most of their victims.

The only goal of such laws is to, by the stroke of pen, turn law abiding Americans into criminals while working to deprive them of their Creator given right to self-defense.

The Supreme Court has affirmed that the police have no duty to protect you as an individual. Ergo, in a situation the potential victim is the first responder.

A study released by the American College of Surgeons in 2018 examined the relationship between violent crime and concealed-carry laws. The researchers analyzed data from the U.S. Department of Justice and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from all 50 states spanning 30 years.

They concluded that there is “... no statistically significant association between the liberalization of state level firearm carry legislation over the last 30 years and the rates of homicides or other violent crime

In October of 2021, The Columbus Dispatch reported on a study conducted by the National Network for Safe Communities, confirming that “... a relatively few individuals, many of them young people involved in gangs, drive much of the lethal violence … typically a fraction of individuals are behind half of the homicides.” And these criminals are already prohibited from possessing firearms

If we want to both reduce crime and respect citizens' right to defend themselves and their families, it's time to make the burdensome and expensive licensing process optional for concealed carry and to demand that cities enforce current laws against those who actually commit violent crimes.

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities. The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia , the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.

It's a short video but the best part is from the 2 minute to 3 minute 15 second mark. This law enforcement officer likes homeowners that have guns in the house.

Ruger has issued a safety bulletin for some SR22® Pistols. In rare instances, if the left and right frame inserts of the pistol are not properly secured together, the firing pin blocker lifter and hammer block can move independently of each other, potentially rendering them ineffective. If this situation occurs, the pistol will intermittently exhibit a "slack" single-action trigger and has the potential to discharge if decocked over a live round.

You'd think they'd have that safety mechanism figured out by now.
I mean, how long have they been making revolvers?
Mine is a single action 1972 model. Single action is probably simpler, but dang, now Alex Baldwin will have more excuses to fling around.

That is a semi auto and we have 2 of them.

It gets even better. 😁
Kids shooting is totally news to me but this is so damn cool. 👍 She has some top notch parents.

Explaining what militia is in the 2nd amendment

Alexander Hamilton: “The project of disciplining all the militia of the United States is as futile as it would be injurious, if it were capable of being carried into execution. A tolerable expertness in military movements is a business that requires time and practice. It is not a day, or even a week, that will suffice for the attainment of it. To oblige the great body of the yeomanry, and of the other classes of the citizens, to be under arms for the purpose of going through military exercises and evolutions, as often as might be necessary to acquire the degree of perfection which would entitle them to the character of a well-regulated militia, would be a real grievance to the people, and a serious public inconvenience and loss. It would form an annual deduction from the productive labor of the country, to an amount which, calculating upon the present numbers of the people, would not fall far short of the whole expense of the civil establishments of all the States. To attempt a thing which would abridge the mass of labor and industry to so considerable an extent, would be unwise: and the experiment, if made, could not succeed, because it would not long be endured. Little more can reasonably be aimed at, with respect to the people at large, than to have them properly armed and equipped” – Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No.2
Patrick Henry:

Quote:

The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun.
Thomas Jefferson:

Quote:

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
Richard Henry Lee:

Quote:

“To preserve liberty it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them…”
George Mason:

Quote:

“I ask you sir, who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people.
George Washington:

Quote:

“A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.”
Tench Coxe:

Quote:

Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American… [T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

MORE people are killed EVERY YEAR with blunt instruments like baseball bats then ALL rifles COMBINED.

"FBI: More People Killed by Hammers, Clubs than with Rifles of Any Kind"

"
Those figures showed that 467 people were killed with “blunt objects (hammers, clubs, etc.),” while 403 were killed with rifles. And it must be noted that the category of “rifles” used by the FBI includes bolt action, pump action, single shot, and semi-automatic, as well as those the left describes as “assault weapons."

"This means only a percentage of the 403 deaths attributed to “rifles” would have been carried out with an “assault weapon
.” So the gap between the number of persons beaten to death with hammers and clubs verses those killed with “assault weapons” would be even greater than the gap between those who died in a hammer/club attack versus those who died being shot with “rifles” of any kind."

Using Math as an argument to decide one way or another on many issues (imho) only creates a stumbling block or delayed response towards possible solutions..... If I found myself in a life or death situation, 100 % of the time I would hope it was a blunt object.

its not a few seconds or a few rounds

max rate of fire for a M-16 in auto mode 700-900 rounds/min

max rate of fire for a A-15 (semi-automatic) around 45–55 rounds/min

max sustained rate of fire (sustained rate means where the barrel wont get too hot to handle) for an AR-15 is 12 – 15 RPM
Quote:
SUSTAINED RATE OF FIRE FOR THE ar15 SERIES RIFLES 12-15 ROUNDS PER MINUTE. THIS IS THE ACTUAL RATE OF FIRE THAT A WEAPON CAN CONTINUE TO BE FIRED FOR AN Indefinite LENGTH OF TIME WITHOUT SERIOUS OVERHEATING.
