I just saw the news report tonight. It appears massive flash flooding in the southern region of France. We will be close to the English channel on the north end of the country. I honestly hope that river flows from north to south, or we might be in big trouble!

Jut keep an eye on that link as some live in the area
Hope it all works for you. Trouble with these river cruises Too much water and they can't go under the road bridges, not enough water and the boats can't float

Jon, I contacted Viking Cruises and they said the flash floods were not affecting our trip in any way. If so, we would have received a notification last week with the option to reschedule.

Ern, it is to pay my respects to all the WWII soldiers who were killed during DDay at Normandy. My uncle, a B17 pilot was killed while landing his plane after it was shot to pieces, is buried nearby and is also on my list to visit.

hav watch the young girls around the Eiffel Tower who run up to you. they are pick pockets
You might be used to this type of thing but we don't have pickpockets in NZ so we aren't used to this type of thing

Ern, give me any information you have on your uncleand I will place a flower on his grave. We will be at the cemeteries for 2 days and I want to search out all I can. As far as France, yeah, they hate Americans, and I plan on avoiding as much interaction as possible, especially since they are being overrun by Muslims who just want to attack Americans.

The French do not like anybody
Remember they sent some spies down to New Zealand and blew up the Rainbow Warrior killing one person

But our police caught them :)

Today is the last day here. Going to the Palace of Versailles. Trip is ok, but the food on Viking really sucks. We only had escargo on the first day.
