Hi,
I was wanting to go as natural as possible for glues. I have found some low toxic acrylic glues, but wanted to go the extra mile. I've read about hide glue being used for furniture and other wood making projects. What do you all think about using this to glue and nail hardwood floors? Is that just a stupid idea?
Also, another option I've been toying with is just screwing from the sides, but wondering if that would just take too long.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Dimitri

Get ahold of the manufacturer that makes your specific hardwood. Use whatever they recommend for their product. Hide glue is not what you use for a glue assist hardwood floor.

If there's any issues down the line you should be covered if you follow the manufacturer suggested method of install. Including moisture/humidity testing.
