How would you lay the wood (direction) for this layout?

How would you lay the wood for this layout?
We will be doing wood in the part in orange. Basically the living areas and the hallways.
I am confused how I should orient the wood floor planks.

i would run it front to back. But you might need underlayment if joists are running the same.
 
This is concrete slab... so I don't think the floor joints matter. The wood is engineered. The installation is glue down (glue down is superior, right?) The lights come in from the windows in the nook and family room.

Either way is acceptable with glue down, and comes down to personal choice. Just remember, rooms look longer with the plank running down, and looks wider with the planks running across. In your view, my personal opinion would be to run the planks in the direction of your arrow. This would make your place seem quite large as you enter the home and would be pleasing to the eye.
