I really hate sunken living rooms.

Lately a couple homes have had them, I don’t like being in them let alone living in them. What’s everyone’s take on them, or is it just me?

I've worked in quite a few houses that had them, most of them back in the '80s. I wouldn't mind a sunken living room that was one or two steps down from the main room but I'd want the rest of the floor on one level.
I work on so many jobs in the last year that have stairs stairs and more stairs my body is getting worn out. I'm beginning to feel like the stair Nazi. No stairs for you!

Yes Removal only, I did get the name of a guy that filled in one large sunken and the homeowner was very pleased. The last house I recommended it but the retailer and homeowner leaned against it. One wall was fully mirrored. Another outdated feature and I didn’t know where these updates should stop. A 3/4 high wall separated the nook. I suppose when the house sells is the ideal time for major renovation.
