what do you think you would charge to install laminate flooring on walls,
4’ high. It will be installed vertically over sheetrock.
It is a pretty big area in a restaurant
Customer is going to install baseboards on the bottom and a chair rail on top.
I am going to use silicone adhesive
( in a caulk tube) on the back as well as brad nails on the very top and bottom ( which will be covered by the molding)

I thought about leaving a 1/4 expansion in the corners, and have them install trim on the inside and outside corners.

I normally get $2/ square ft. for a floor

Single planks should move along fairly fast I'd think. Ought to fly with no end joining. I'd use a regular adhesive maybe a polyurethane. With a chair rail on top and base on the bottom I wouldn't think it would need but a couple of bands of adhesive or maybe a few grape sized dots near the center of the each plank.

I'd think he'd make a killing at $5. A 40 foot wall would be $800. Don could do that in 2 hours. No end joints, no grout, no trims. just bank bang bang. 10 X faster than installing on a floor. Takes more time to unwrap the boxes.

I started the walls today.
It went pretty smooth.
I ended up using silicone along with finish nails on the top and bottom.
I got 420 sq. ft. done today, and went through 12 tubes of silicone.

They are definitely not perfectly flat.
I have quite a bit of prep to do.
They already had the flooring.

Hope you aren't charging $45 sq foot. If you did, and they said yes, .....then I want some adoption papers asap. :D
Looks great Don. I never thought about going around windows.
