Hi everyone. Would love some help and advice here. I recently bought a house that has polished porcelain tile flooring in the kitchen and foyer, and it can be quite slippery. With a toddler running around, I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I can do to make the floors safer.
Money aside, some ideas I had were to refinish the tiles from polished to matte or honed. I had one vendor tell me that porcelain tiles are too fragile for the machinery that would resurface them and the tiles would crack. Then I had another vendor tell me me opposite.
I know there are several anti-slip applications you can put onto the tile, however I'm trying to avoid anything non-toxic considering the baby is on the floor and I have a pet as well.
For reference, here are the tiles used in the house (they are 2x4 large tiles):

Any guidance or ideas you all may have would be great. Thank you!
